Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Bickershaw '72

I know that the entire Europe '72 Tour is coming out in a few months. Bickershaw is no longer available for streaming on this site because (we are told) that it is available on Steppin Out. In fact only a handful of songs are available on this compilation.

Does this mean that when the '72 box comes out none of the '72 boards on this site will be available for streaming?

And...does anybody know where I can get a good copy of Bikershaw audience or board?

I went to sugarmegs but had trouble navigating it and it seems that only the NRPS set is left. Was it pulled from there after Steppin Out as well?

If it's too much trouble, I don't have to worry. I know someone who is expecting the box in Sspt. I'll finally get to hear it then. I just thought some audience stuff would be fun to listen to.

I would say that it's a sure bet that the Europe '72 shows will no longer be streamable here when the official box is released in September.

Dark Star> Other One> Sing Me Back Home is streamable at the Taper's Section...

Send me your address and I will mail you a copy of the Clugston AUD/SBD composite of the show.

It seems unfortunate that a box set that is out of the price range of many should cause Europe to disappear from this site in board form. In fact, it isn't until they release or make available Europe '72 in separate shows that they should even consider doing this. I have a lot of it on cassette and I don't remember all the shows being worth having (can't remember which ones offhand but there's one gig that stood out as almost lame---lame for '72 which still ain't too shabby I guess!!!).

Ok, I sent another email.

The only weak performance out of the twenty-two is Bremen on 4/21. But who knows, we all might end up liking it a bit more when the box comes out in Septemeber. Apparently ther is additional materiel that has not been in circulation.

I'll send you out some disks next week. I am sure that as soon as the box hits mailboxes this Fall, it will be seeded at the file sharing sites.

In the meantime, here is a good thread with some great discussion about the tour...

exactly, as soon as this box comes out it wont take long for someone to upload it somewhere on the internet. so even though the old boards might be taken down you'll be able to get even better quality ones for zero dollars. im sure rhino fully expects this to happen like with everything they release.

Or there's always bittorrent:

No seeds on bt.etree, but you can always request a re-seed at lossless legs.
